Far from home. Close to my roots.
HORGANIC began with a feeling of recognition.
During my travels through Indonesia — from Bali to the Mentawai Islands — I found unexpected reminders of Sardinia, the island of my roots. Sometimes in a name, sometimes in a landscape, sometimes in the way everyday life unfolded.
In the faces of people I met, I would sometimes recognise something of my father and my uncles: the shape of their eyes, an expression, a familiar gaze. Small, personal echoes that made distant places feel close to home.
The idea took shape during days spent alone on the islands, between surf sessions and quiet hours at sea. I began to imagine how these two places could meet through an object — its form, its colours, its details.
That is where HORGANIC comes from: the Sardinia I carry with me and the Indonesia I discovered along the way.
NURAGHI is the first expression of that connection. Today, it is a design concept, with its first physical prototype still to be created.
